New bespoke experiences mark the reopening of The Savoy in Florence
Following the June reopening of the first four Italian properties within the hotel group, Rocco Forte Hotels is pleased to announce the opening of Hotel Savoy in Florence.
To celebrate the reopening, the Hotel Savoy has designed a series of new outdoor experiences to discover the destination - both the city of Florence and the stunning Tuscan countryside - from a wonderfully different angle.
Walk in the footsteps of the cast and crew of an Oscar winning film and Discover Tuscany through the Eyes of “The English Patient”, starting from the streets of Florence and then onto Pienza to uncover the fascinating Val d’Orcia area with its dramatic scenery and typical local produce.
Another wonderful and uniquely seasonal Tuscan delicacy awaits the more intrepid guests who wish to experience the thrill of truffle hunting and learn the secrets of the most precious of tubers. The bespoke Truffle Hunting Experience led by a professional truffle hunter and his sniffer dog may be tailored around half day excursions in the Tuscan countryside at the Savini Farm near Pisa, one of the richest truffle areas in all of Europe.
Back in the city centre, guests staying at Savoy are welcome to embark on the Discover your Wine Archetype Trail, an oenological walking tour of the city with a wine specialist who will take them to the best wine bars and stores. The participants will learn about the history and evolution of Italian wines and how they fit their personality and find out why certain wines seem to speak to their emotions and imagination.
These outdoor activities are just the starting point of all the unique opportunities and tailor-made experiences that Hotel Savoy will offer to its visitors from the reopening onwards, with the aim to begin a new chapter in its history as renovated expression of luxury hospitality.
In preparation of the September reopening, Rocco Forte Hotels is continuing to implement multiple health and safety measures, in line with Government advice, for the safety and comfort of hotel guests and staff. In addition to the thorough and regular cleaning of all public spaces, and evident social distancing measures, the Hotel will be applying its own enhanced protocol which is featured on the Rocco Forte Hotels website and communicated to guests before arrival.
Rocco Forte Hotels continues to encourage people to hold onto their dreams and plan ahead by offering the unprecedented opportunity to freely postpone any booking for travel through the year and well into 2021 with the Travel with no Limits offer. This package will knock 15% off the Best Available Rate allowing any prepaid booking to be modified twice, with no extra cost at all, for stays up to March 2021.
